Cussing Kids? From the Mouths of Babes
by Monique Scott

The names of the innocent have been dubbed, son, daughter, sister, baby girl and hubby.

Hi, my name is Mommy Moni and I was a closet cussaholic. Here is how I was cured…

Book in hand; I plopped onto the backyard bench draped in shade beneath a huge whatchamacallit tree. Kita, our five month old German Shepherd darted towards the walkway to greet my four year old daughter as she stepped outside into another sunny, Charlotte, NC day.

Absent Minded
by A Dude's Guide on Jul 19th

I feel like I’m forgetting something. My wife and I are doing a little traveling while the dudes are away at camp for a couple of weeks. We’re actually getting away by ourselves. However, every few minutes I’ll feel this tickle in the back of my head that something is wrong, that I’ve left something important behind. I’ll panic for a few seconds before I realize what I’ve left behind is our little dudes.

It’s the strangest thing: I’m so used to having them around all the time that being without them feels very wrong. My wife, known to many as She Who Must Be Obeyed, says this is an indication of what I’ll be like when the dudes go off to college. She’s convinced that I’ll be shuttling back and forth from one college to the next, wherever my not-so-little dudes are enrolled, helping and cajoling and generally making a nuisance of myself.

She is, of course, wrong. I can kick the habit. I can. I can stop anytime I want to. I just don’t want to stop right now. Well, all right, now, yes. I mean, after all, do I want to worry or call the pool boy over to bring me another drink?
